Whatcom County's finest soccer park just got a little bit better. The park now features 2 new artificial turf fields with lights and scoreboards. The ribbon cutting celebration occurred Saturday, August 6, 2016. Whatcom County Parks & Recreation would like to thank Phillips 66, Whatcom Sports and Recreation and Washington State for funding the improvements at the Phillips 66 Soccer Park.
Considered one of the finest soccer facilities in Washington, the 12 full size fields are operated and maintained by Whatcom Sports and Recreation for games and tournaments through the spring, summer and fall.
The majority of the trail is a nondescript trek around the perimeter of the grass soccer fields with great views of Mt. Baker. A quarter mile section turns south, through the meadow, between the Public Works building and the baseball fields.
