Work Party Opportunities

Looking for an opportunity to volunteer?  Think about joining a Whatcom County Parks & Recreations trail work party.  



A work party is a scheduled trail maintenance or development project lead by park staff. Don't worry you don't need to be an expert or have tools. Our staff will provide the training and equipment you need to have a great experience. You will learn planning and construction skills, how to identify and remove invasive species, and how to plant native flora and fauna.     

Volunteering is a great way to hike with a purpose. You can register for a work party here:

9:00 am - Meet at the parking lot, gather for a safety briefing and then head.
