Homicide: Mandy Stavik

On November 24, 1989, at about 1:50 p.m., Mandy Stavik left her home on Strand Road in rural Whatcom County to go jogging with the family dog. She was wearing green sweat pants and a light colored sweatshirt. Mandy’s dog returned home without her several hours later. On November 27, 1989, Mandy’s body was found nearby in the Nooksack River.
