Whatcom County Parks COVID-19 Updates

Silver Lake Park provides a wide variety of recreation opportunities just 40 minutes east of Bellingham on the scenic Mount Baker Highway.

Campgrounds are open through November 1, 2020
Cabins/Lodge available year round for reservation

Day Lodge Hours: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Boat Rentals: Friday - Sunday, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, all boats returned by 5:00 pm

Silver Lake has individual campsites arranged in 3 distinct areas and a Group Camp area.  Sites vary in accommodations:


  

Maple Creek

Maple Creek Campsite is in the central area of the park close to the lake, playground and fields.  
    -   34 standard RV sites with water and electric hookups
    -   1 double-size RV site with water and electric hookups
    -   12 standard tent sites



Cedar


Located adjacent to cabins and hiking trails at the north end of the park.  
    -   12 standard tent campsites
    -   3 double-size tent campsites

    (Cedar campsites are not recommended for RV's and trailers)

Red Mountain


This unique campground facility is designed for people who like to take their horses camping with them. Adjacent to a large meadow at the foot of Red Mountain and has equestrian trail access.   
    -   28 RV sites with water and electric hookups
    -   2 Horse stables for overnight boarding (additional fees apply)

Group Camp


Group Camp is located at the south end of the park, with fields flanking 2 sides and picturesque mountain views. This camping area accommodates large groups and is popular with RV clubs, churches and large family gatherings. Group Camp includes a central large picnic shelter with picnic tables, serving counters, two 4-burner stovetops, kitchen sink and several fire pits.      -   Vault Toilet
     -   Picnic Shelter (maximum occupancy 75 people)

Single campsite reservations include either:
   -  One passenger vehicle
   -  One vehicle and trailer
   -  One RV with tow vehicle

 

Additional passenger vehicles are allowed in campsites for an onsite fee of $11.00 per vehicle per day.
