Maple Creek Campground

Maple Creek Campground is in the central area of the park, close to the boat launch, picnic area, beach, and playground.

Red Mountain Campground

Tucked into the woods on the edge of a large meadow at the foot of Red Mountain this campground offers equestrian and hiking trails. Located approximately 3/4 mile from the lake and central park areas.

Located at the south end of the park adjacent to Maple Creek Campground, this facility is designed for large groups with campsites arranged around a central picnic shelter.

Campsite Capacity Rules
Each single campsite may have up to 6 people
Each double campsite may have up to 12 people

Campsite Occupancy Rules
Campers may stay up to 14 consecutive days in a 30 day period

Campsite Vehicle Rules
Each single campsite includes one of the following (double for double campsites):

  • One passenger vehicle
  • One vehicle with trailer
  • One RV with tow vehicle

* Additional passenger vehicles are allowed in campsites for an onsite fee of $11 per vehicle, per day

Reservations
Reservations can be made up to 48 hours in advance either online or by phone at 360-778-5850
Campsites are available to reserve with full payment and a $13 non-refundable reservation fee
Weekend reservations must be for both Friday and Saturday nights

Late Arrival/No-Shows
Your reservation is considered a no-show if you have not arrived by 11am the day after your arrival date, did not cancel your reservation, or did not contact park staff to let them know of your late arrival.

First Come/First Serve
48 hours prior to arrival unreserved campsites become first come/first serve and are no longer able to be reserved. To claim an unused campsite under first come/first serve you must go to the park and:

  1. Find a vacant and unreserved campsite
  2. Occupy the site with a vehicle or personal items then proceed immediately to the Park Office or one of the "Iron Ranger" pay stations (Iron Rangers are located next to the kiosk at the entrance to Maple Creek Campground and outside the Park Office)
  3. Fill out a self-registration envelope completely, following the pricing guide to determine cost
  4. Deposit payment (US cash or check only) in the Iron Ranger pay station or you can pay at the Park Office during office hours

Permanent First Come/First Serve Sites (these sites are non reservable and are only available on a first come/first serve basis):
Cedar Campground: 3
Maple Creek Campground: 22, 32, 35, 45
Red Mountain Campground: 1, 28

* Unreserved ADA sites become first come/first serve on the day of and not 48 hours prior like the rest of the campsites

* Maximum stay of 2 nights per self-registration. Please see Park staff for availability if you'd like to extend your stay

Speciality Camping Information

ADA Campsites
Each campground has ADA designated campsites. These campsites are only available for reservation by those with ADA documentation and will be verified upon check-in.

Designated ADA Campsites
Cedar Campground: 2A/B, 15
Maple Creek Campground: 6, 7, 24
Red Mountain Campground: 17, 18

50% Disability Discount
Available to Washington State residents with one of the following:

  • WA State Parks Disability Pass
  • Disabled Vet Lifetime Pass
  • WA State Permanent Disability Parking Pass + matching ID

To claim the disability discount:

  • Campers must reserve at full price and are refunded at the Park upon verification of documentation
  • Refund must be completed while at the park
  • Discount is only for the campsite of the person with the qualifying placard or card
  • Person with the qualifying placard or card must be present throughout the reservation period
  • Discount does not apply to temporary Disability Parking Permits
  • Discount does not apply to group camp, cabins, picnic shelters, the day lodge, or any add-on fees

Silver Lake Park Amenities

Toilets
Vault toilets are available at each campground. Flush toilets can be found at the central shower house (seasonal) and at the Park Office during office hours (seasonal).

Shower House (seasonal)
The shower house is centrally located near the day use parking area and the Park Office. It is available 24 hours a day during camping season.

  • Cost is 50 cents for the first 4 minutes
  • You can add extra time in 25 cent increments for additional minutes
  • US quarters only
  • Change is (usually) available at the Park Office during office hours
  • There is no change machine available

Concessions (seasonal)
The Silver Lake Park Office has firewood and snacks available for purchase during office hours. The nearest stores, restaurants, and gas are in Maple Falls, 3.5 miles south of Silver Lake Park.

Boat Rental (seasonal)
Canoes, rowboats, 2 person and 4 person pedal boats, 2 seat kayaks, and stand up paddle boards are available for rent from the Park Office during camping season.

Horse Stables (Red Mountain campground)
There are two horse stables for overnight boarding at Red Mountain Campground. Fees apply.

Dump Station
An RV dump station is located near the entrance to Maple Creek Campground. Campground guests may use the dump station for free with a camping receipt. Non-guests can use the dump station for a fee.
