Responsibilities
- The Archiving section is the guardian of the legal records for all matters concerning public roads, highways, bridges, ditches, or surveys.
- Original papers, documents, petitions, survey notes, and maps are retained.
- Records and documents date back to the mid-1800's.
Safeguarding Records
- Records are safeguarded through the use of microfilm.
- Records are easier to locate, handle, and preserve for generations to come.
- A statutory responsibility providing present and future owners of property with historical and legal information.
Public Access
- The public at large can access these records and documents.
- Staff is prepared to assist with questions and requests.
