The Whatcom County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Whatcom County Comprehensive Plan amendments concerning the Lummi Island Ferry. The proposal would modify Policy 6A-1 relating to ferry level of service and delete Policy 6C-9 relating to a ferry feasibility study as shown in County Council Resolution 2018-026.
The hearing will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Planning & Development Services Northwest Annex, 5280 Northwest Drive, Bellingham.

The Planning Commission shall assist the Planning and Development Services Department in carrying out its duties, which includes helping to prepare and execute the comprehensive plan and recommendations to the department for the adoption of official controls and/or amendments. The Commission shall conduct hearings as required under RCW 36.70, and shall make findings and conclusions that shall be transmitted to the Planning and Development Services Department and County Council.
