The Whatcom County Planning Commission will host a virtual public hearing regarding proposed Whatcom County Comprehensive Plan and County Code amendments primarily relating to fossil fuel and renewable fuel refineries, storage, transshipment facilities, piers, power plants, and other related facilities in industrial zones, including but not limited to industrial zones within the Cherry Point Urban Growth Area. The proposal also addresses Whatcom County SEPA amendments, major project permit regulations, definitions, insurance requirements, and greenhouse gas emission analysis and mitigation provisions.
