[ARCHIVED] Whatcom County Community Vaccination Clinic Opens to Public March 13

This week the large-scale collaborative COVID-19 vaccine clinic, the Community Vaccination Center (CVC), located on Bellingham Technical College’s main campus, is set to open to the public. The first clinic is this Saturday, March 13, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

If you’re in an eligible vaccination phase (currently 1A and 1B Tier 1) and would like to make an appointment to be vaccinated at the CVC, sign up online at prepmod.doh.wa.gov in either English or Spanish. Appointments will be available starting at 9 am on Wednesday, March 10. Don’t know if you’re currently eligible? Go to www.findyourphasewa.com to find out.

You must make an appointment to be vaccinated at the CVC, and walk-ins unfortunately can’t be served. If no appointments are available, you can sign up for a waitlist. If there are extra doses left over after the event, people on the waitlist will be called and offered the extra shots. The waitlist is only for that day’s appointments and is not an ongoing waiting list.

If you do not have an email, do not have access to the internet, or speak a language other than English and would like to make an appointment, you can call our vaccine schedulers at 360-778-6075.

Driving Directions

For those driving to the site, follow the driving directions provided below. Public transportation to Bellingham Technical College is also available. You can find bus schedules and plan your trip at: http://www.ridewta.com/

To get to BTC from I-5 southbound, take exit #258 and turn right onto Bakerview Rd. Then at the first light, take a left onto Bennett and follow to Marine Drive.

Turn left onto Marine Drive, then turn left onto Illinois St.  Follow signage to available visitor parking.

Community Vaccination Center Schedule

For now, the CVC will only be open on Saturdays on a limited schedule due to vaccine availability. When we get more vaccine, the CVC will be open on more days and with longer hours. We will provide updates on CVC hours of operation whenever changes are made and share them with local news outlets, on our social media channels, and on our website.

The CVC wouldn’t have come together without a lot of help from many different community agencies. A big thanks goes out to Bellingham Technical College, Unity Care NW, Whatcom Unified Command, Family Care Network, PeaceHealth, Sea Mar Community Health Centers, Hoagland’s Pharmacy,  and Whatcom Community College.
